Updated: Oct 29, 2023

Sustainable Development

After receiving attention from the school, the hospital, communities, and media reports, Cuckoo Home is exploring ways to promote sustainability in school. It is hoped that Cuckoo Home will be able to find the right group of young leaders among the students to carry on the spread of the core values of Cuckoo Home.

Meanwhile, Ms. Lauren Rogers, the Vice Principal of YCIS, introduced Cuckoo Home and its core values on the YCYW network Community Day and Gala, commented that it is in line with the YCIS education values, and therefore will receive full support from Cuckoo Home leading more YCIS students to organize activities to help individuals and communities. Cuckoo Home is also speculated to call on more participation from the YCYW global network.

Exploring Equal Access to Education

After witnessing this in the hospital, Cuckoo Home promotes the concept of equal education to the team. Even more, the Cuckoo Home team visited the hospital to give lessons and reading sessions to the young patients under the leadership of the founder Hong Loi (Connie) CHEN, with the purpose of simulating a classroom environment and driving children and families to hope to regain their education opportunity.
